Three Websites Social Media Managers Don't Want You To Know About

Okay, everyone — buckle up, because in today’s blog I’ll be spilling some top-secret information that social media managers don’t want you to know. That’s right. I’m here to fill you in on the websites and tools that I use every day to create amazing content for my clients.

Let’s dive in.

Answer The Public

Answer The Public is a search listening tool that helps me discover what my clients are really asking about. Simply type in a keyword and the website will provide you with a list of related questions being searched throughout the world. For example, I typed in “dog” and was provided questions such as “What dog should I get?” and “Can dogs eat grapes?” Both of which are great starting points for digital content when you’re stumped on what to post next. Maybe a blog about safe foods for canines? Or even a Buzzfeed quiz about which dog breed you should get next!

Talkwalker

Everyone knows I love numbers, but I am the first to admit that data means nothing without the sentiment behind it. That’s where Talkwalker jumps in! By providing data on which keywords, reactions, and emojis are being used by community members in response to your social media pages, this website can tell you if that 100% boost in engagement is because of a positive or a negative viral moment.

P.S. Don’t let them trick you into a paid account! The free version still allows you to view results 7 days at a time with great Twitter insights.

CutStory

Okay, this one may be a bit of a cheat, as it is an app, not a website, but it is just too good not to share! CutStory is an iPhone app that allows you to edit videos and graphics for Instagram Stories and Reels directly on your phone. Unlike in-app editing, CutStory allows you to download a preview without a watermark, which is great for getting client approval, resharing on multiple channels, and saving files to your personal archives!

Can’t get enough of these resources? Yeah, I know the feeling. As a bonus, I’m including some honorable mentions below. Do your own research and let me know which one is your favorite in the comments!
