Being Creative Isn't Always Easy and That's Okay

I have a secret to tell… I don’t always find it easy to be creative.

Sometimes people assume that because we call ourselves creatives we are constantly brimming with unique, new, out-of-the-box ideas. That we wake up every morning, pour a cup of coffee, say our daily prayers to Picasso and Van Gogh, and then paint a masterpiece. Okay, that may have been dramatic, but the truth is as much as I love The Starry Night, there are days that the stars are hard to find in a sea of emails, conference calls, and approaching deadlines.

That’s the line we walk as digital storytellers…

Meet Our New Liftie

Say hello to Chair 8's newest Account Coordinator, Kayla!

Kayla is a recent grad of Elon University where she majored in Strategic Communications and minored in Sociology. When it comes to telling a client’s story through design, Kayla is your girl. When she’s in the office you can usually find her hard at work on graphics, on a client call, or assisting on a photoshoot.

When Kayla isn’t in the office, she enjoys hot yoga, making her own green juices, and unwinding after a long day with a good charcuterie board and a rom com (the cringier, the better in her opinion!)

We’re excited to have Kayla on our team and can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next!

Holt Brothers Golf Tournament

This Summer, the Holt Brothers Foundation welcomed 100+ golfers to NC State's Lonnie Poole Golf Course for a day of golf and fundraising.

Torry and Terrence invited friends and former colleagues to join in the day's events as celebrity captains to be paired up with our golf teams. With a full course, golfers spent the day networking, building new relationships, being entertained by our Hole Hospitality Sponsors and making a few pars in the middle.
